GGfGA Engineering, LLC (GGfGA) a one-woman owned limited liability company specializing in servicing the transportation community. GGfGA is a small business committed to providing service to the transportation community and distributing knowledge to the next generation of transportation professionals.
The Principal Engineer for GGfGA, Georgene M Geary, PhD, P.E., retired in 2014 from a diverse career at Georgia DOT. She started GGfGA in 2015, while also pursuing a PhD degree in Civil Engineering at Georgia Tech full-time from August 2015 until December 2019. In that time GGfGA still took on a number of part-time projects. GGfGA performed the review of the AASHTO Innovation Initiative (AII) that led to the start of formal cooperation of the FHWA and AII in the area of research innovation at a grass-roots level. GGfGA was one of two subcontracted Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in a National Highway Institute project to develop a 2 day workshop on Quality Assurance for Highway Construction Projects. GGfGA is currently one of two SMEs supporting the AASHTO Unique, Patented, Proprietary Products (UP3) Council under the AASHTO National Transportation Product Evaluation Program (NTPEP), developing testing plans for new products used by local, state and federal transportation agencies.
